SEO Quick Chat

SEO Quick Chat with Nina - SEO Lady UK

The “quick chat about SEO” phenomenon exists because business owners often underestimate the complexity and value of what Digital Marketers do, day by day.

Our call is for you to verify my identity as a human being, and to discuss genuine SEO opportunities, whilst protecting my professional boundaries and manage both of our expectations.

In my 35 years of online experiences, I’d like to make a formal declaration based on over 700 consultations with business owners.

When a prospect says, “We’re a startup, but we’ll have budget soon,” what they actually mean is, “We need you to prove yourself first, deliver ROI for cheap, and then we increase how much we spend later.”

The opposite applies, the same with any Digital Agency.

My structure is transparent: the initial investment is higher to cover analysis, strategy and build. When a 12-month contract is signed, the monthly fee is reduced in alignment with the agreed roadmap tasks.

A client who respects your expertise enough to pay for consultation is far more likely to implement your recommendations than someone shopping for freebies. That’s why I offer a structured SEO introduction, and yes, it begins with a proper consultation package.

The first call is a discovery session to understand if we’re the right fit. Personalised recommendations require proper time and research. A basic SEO audit followed by a one-to-one video consultation is half a day’s work. That includes prep, data analysis, a roadmap outline and time for a focused conversation. It’s never just a call — it’s professional consultancy.

Every call starts with a simple diagnostic framework. Before I listen to 20 minutes of website complaints, I need to know three things. What’s the specific business outcome you’re trying to achieve? If you say “more traffic,” I’ll clarify that I can send you a million visitors tomorrow — that doesn’t mean they’ll buy. Clear KPIs and real business goals are the foundation for any viable strategy. What’s your monthly marketing budget allocation? This is non-negotiable. If there’s no budget, there’s no plan. What’s your timeline for seeing Google results with that budget? This tells me how realistic the conversation is going to be.

If I hear “Our developer says everything looks fine,” that’s usually a challenge to justify my analysis before I’ve even started. If I hear “We’re comparing a few agencies,” that’s code for shopping around on price. And if I’m told “We’ve tried everything,” I’ll ask for proof. Show me what “everything” means, otherwise we’re wasting time duplicating previous efforts blindly.

I’ve gathered a mini list of the most common SEO questions asked during initial calls. Number one is always “Why isn’t my website on page one?” What they really want is a miracle fix. What they need is a reality check about competition, content quality and technical foundations. Another classic is “I’ve been doing SEO for months — why no results?” This usually means they’ve changed a few headings and thrown in some keywords, but can’t tell me what they’ve actually implemented. SEO is about systematic, measurable tasks. If you can’t provide a report, we start from scratch.

When I hear “Google Ads are too expensive, I want SEO instead,” I see potential. Paid traffic and SEO can complement each other when handled correctly. The goal of SEO is to reduce your PPC costs long term. But results typically take 6 to 12 months — are you ready to invest without instant gratification?

If someone asks how long until they rank #1, what they want is a promise. What they get is honesty. Rankings depend on hundreds of variables. No one can guarantee position one. Similarly, “Can you fix my technical SEO?” usually signals that the client tried cheap SEO and now assumes something is broken. Technical SEO requires access, data, tools, and often a total review of site structure and indexing. It’s project work, not a quick fix.

“Why did my rankings drop suddenly?”

For context, a basic SEO consultation starts at a day rate for roadmap development and implementation sessions. Comprehensive optimisation packages for small to medium businesses range from £2,500 to £5,000 per month depending on scope.

Schedule a 20-minute telephone conversation with me for a discovery call.

During our discovery call you’re able to verify my identity and we can both get a feel for what it will be like to work together.

This initial telephone conversation is not used for me to tell you how exactly I am going to rank your website – but you can find out right now
